Broadway Village Hall Facilities
Main Hall
The main hall measures some 56ft by 29ft. It is one of the largest halls in the area.
The polished wood floor is marked out for a badminton court.
The hall was built with a high ceiling specifically for this purpose. The University of the Third Age (U3A) club use it for both short tennis as well as badminton.
Short Mat Bowls is played here once a week.
The hall is often used for children’s parties, as the length of the hall can accommodate inflatable play assault courses.
The hall is also equipped with a large stage, complete with lighting, backstage changing room and a recently upgraded hearing loop system.
The local Drama group, BATS, regularly perform plays and musical shows.
The hall can easily accommodate 120 / 150 sitting down or 200 standing.
Outdoors are two enclosed grassed areas, together with a large carpark
Meeting Room
A smaller meeting room, off the hall is 21ft by 19ft, carpeted and with access to a disabled toilet.
Kitchen Facilities
The kitchen is spacious and modern, with plenty of worktop space, a double and single sink and separate hand wash basin. There are all the essentials you would need for catering.
There is a large range cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, hot water urns, kettles, and a professional dish washer.
There is crockery and cutlery to cater for 120 people, as well as tables and chairs.
Both the kitchen and adjacent bar area have roller shutter access to the hall, making it excellent for any type of function.
The bar is not a stocked one, Applying for a TENS licence from Somerset Council, would give permission to sell alcohol.
